Alas

+6
When Jaime and Simon find Angel they don't care that he is different, a friendship so deep will be born between them that it will make them discover a new and unknown world. Thanks to this they will finally be able to become the sole owners of their destiny. In our hands is the power to build possibilities in our existence that develop with the freedom and joy of a dream where the endings are natural, where the need for evolution and the outcomes are part of the game itself. This show is set in an imagined or future world more than possible, like a children's game where the origin and the end of things are extremes of a line that touch to form a circle of life. Hands or bodies, objects or machines, movement or stillness, lights or shadows.
Aspects of diversity and/or accessibility: "Alas" is an inclusive theater show where the protagonist has intellectual diversity and one of the other two actresses has a recognized hearing loss.

It is true that as María Parrato Puppets we have been showing our proposals on stage for twenty-five years, with shows such as: “Pepitín’s Adventures”, “Many Moons Ago”, “A Christmas Carol”, “The Spotted Cat and the Swallow Sinha”, “Don’t Be Scared by My Name”, “Ping. The Bird Who Couldn’t Fly”, “Candy Words”, “Roads”, “Chickens and Muffins”, “The Old Man and the Sea”, “Wings” and our latest production “The Artist Hen, or Tomás’s Pumpkins”.

We've toured almost all of Spain and many countries in Europe, America, and Asia. It's true that our productions have received numerous awards and prizes: best show at TEATRALIA, FETEN, the FIRA de TITELLES de LLEIDA, the MAX, the NATIONAL AWARD...

We have directed shows for other companies such as: “Grandfather’s House” by La Rous, “Small, Small” by Gurdulu Teatro, “Clara Embroidered Letters” by Mai Teatro Cia or “Retales” by Yarleku Teatro.

But it is also true that all this has not made us renounce a philosophy, a way of doing things, a way of understanding theatre because:

“We want to keep playing.

It seems that when you stop growing, you no longer play.

We've already grown up, but we want to keep playing.

Maybe there is a way to grow that cannot be seen…

Maybe you can grow inward…

We wish we had our whole lives to play. Even though we are adults

we have that need to be free.

All this we want, all this we hope for and find on the scene.

We play like children. We create worlds to explore and it turns out

that we daydream.

What a beautiful thing it is to share a dream...

a created but true reality.

A fictitious experience but one that feeds even more.

A shared dream. A dream multiplied by all of us in the theater. Nature (ours) flows along the paths of uncertainty, of the new, of the important…

You let yourself go and wake up refreshed.

“Those next door… too.”
