Teatro ACcesible
Accessible Theater is a pioneering project in Spain dedicated to integrating accessibility measures in the theater. It was created in 2011 with the support of the Vodafone Foundation, the Nueva Vida Labor Rehabilitation Center and the technology and accessibility company, Aptent. We are a multidisciplinary team made up of subtitlers, audio describers, accessibility technicians, audiovisual producers, sign language interpreters, engineers and cultural managers.
We adapt plays incorporating subtitling, audio description and sign language. We equip cultural centers with FM hearing aid systems and organize inclusive experiences such as touch tours and accessible colloquiums.
In 12 seasons of Accessible Theater, more than 16,000 people The elderly and people with hearing disabilities, visual disabilities and cognitive disabilities have benefited.
